FCA Extension Secretary

Mission:

The mission is to connect the FCA with the community and the actors and entities related to the Agronomic and Agroindustrial sector by receiving demands and proposals. The Extension Office also articulates knowledge and activities generated in the FCA with social  requirements.

Functions: 

  • To develop and manage policies of extension, transfer and services. 
  • To promote the development of scientific events and workshops together with other areas of the FCA .
  • To promote the participation of the teaching staff of the FCA and of students regarding Extension activities in the FCA, the UNC and other institutions.
  • To advise FCA Departments in all matters related to Extension. 
  • To convene and preside meetings of the Advisory Extension Council in order to coordinate the Departments`activities.
  • To represent the FCA in events of the Agronomic sector.
  • To coordinate and to collaborate in the participation and planning of events, conferences, congresses and signature of agreements.
  • To set up ties with public and private organizations in the scientific, social, cultural and commercial areas in order to promote the development of institutional functions.
  • To promote cooperation agreements with national and international organizations to be implemented by the relevant Secretaries.
  • To promote and uphold all artistic, cultural and sports activities in the FCA  through the Cultural Activities Office.
  • To keep records of agreements and to communicate their existence to the Secretary of Institutional Secretary.
  • To identify and manage funding sources for extension and transfer projects generated by the FCA. 
  • To coordinate and execute the programme “FCA Solidaria”. 
  • To represent the FCA in the UNC Advisory Council and other contexts of the UNC related to extension programmes. 
  • To advise, assist and inform the Dean, the Honorable Directive Council and the FCA Departments about extension activities.
